MISSION STATEMENT The Children of the Village Network Inc. of Sumter County desires to create a Family Resource Center for the benefit of all Sumter Countians. The Network will provide the framework for the positive growth and the enhancement of the family structure through the development of a Family Resource Center The Objectives of the Family Resource Center are designed to empower all families to not only meet the needs of their children, but also to assist those families in thriving. The Family Resource Center will provide life skills training, job readiness training, adult basic education, drug counseling, parenting skills training, scholarships, a food bank and clothing closet and will foster pro bono legal services Foremost, the objective of the Family Resource Center is to assist families in preparing for their independence from welfare assistance.
